My son started in the Little Dragons program at the age of 3 just before the pandemic. The school did a great job of keeping kids engaged and reopened outdoors then indoors while still providing hybrid or online classes.
The instructors run each class very well. At this young age, some kids can be a handful. The instructors will spend one-on-one attention with newcomers and those that tend to not pay attention. They are also willing to discipline by removing belts and not advancing students who are not up to it.
My son tends to do very well, most of the time. His technique has vastly improved and the example set by the instructors is second to none. I continue to research other arts as to what is best for my son and his future but become more and more committed to Holden Martial Arts the longer we are there.

My son has been a student here for almost 5 years and he loves it! The staff are so friendly and professional and have helped my son overcome some of his obstacles. Our 7-year-old daughter has been attending karate classes for five months now. She was a bit timid at first, but quickly fell into a routine and now feels completely at home with her incredible instructors. She recently decided to join the black belt training program for some added challenge and the additional courses, and so far, it’s all she talks about. From our initial meetings with Mr. Mac to learn more about the studio, the various training programs, and the individual courses offered, to the specific goals that her instructors set for her to help reinforce the training and illustrate how and when she’ll advance from one level to the next, we couldn’t ask for a better experience.
